Travel, Events & Workshops

This page is where we announce upcoming special events or workshops at La Domaine and our plans to travel to other places. Special events can take many forms including workshops, lectures, demos and special guests. When traveling, we may be visiting friends in far-off places, heading to Albany for a party, or attending a kinky event near you. In announcing such plans we often invite fans who live near our destination to come meet us there.

The point is friends and fans should check this page often to stay abreast of what's happening at La Domaine.

As many of you know, Mistress Collette and Master R have done a variety of class presentations at SUNY Albany for their Psych department over the past three years. We hold very open and freewheeling classes, sometimes for small groups of fifteen or twenty students in a class, sometimes for big mobs that have exceeded two hundred in a large lecture hall. In every situation, the presentations have been enormously successful. We always make them open to the public, so if you would like to attend our next class please give us a call.

Also, if you know of colleges or universities where you think we should be presenting, please let us know. Connections to specific professors do help.

Mistress Collette and Master R are also available occasionally in the Syracuse NY area. Please contact us for dates.

We start our 2009 workshops with the extraordinarily sadistic Mistress Nona, presenting a cornucopiac workshop full of ideas and actions. With decades of sophisticated play, Nona’s workshop is a tour-de-force of safe cruelty and delicious pain. Want to learn some needle techniques? How about labia stitching? Care to have that cock caned? Anyone for new and exciting methods of ball crushing? All this – and much more - done with insights into safety and lust. Volunteers are always welcome, and in the past, the list of volunteers had started the day we posted the workshop!

This workshop is strictly (of course) limited in enrollment. Please sign up early. The workshop will be from one to four. The tribute is $75 a couple, $50 an individual. Mistress Nona will also be the Guest Mistress at the first 2009 Couples Party, that starts at eight on the evening of the 25th. Tributes for the workshop and the party are $175 for a couple and $200 per individual. That includes the Satyrday workshop and party and the Sinday brunch from eleven to two.

MASTER DAVID LAWRENCE!!

Months before we hosted Master David Lawrence's Shibari Workshop in '07 and '08, we had friends asking for another chance. Okay, friends, here's another opportunity to learn Shibari from one of America's top Masters. You never know; but if you're willing and David is inclined, he might even photograph you. Then perhaps you'll appear in his next book!

David Lawrence is, in our opinion, one of the top Shibari (traditional Asian rope bondage) artists in the United States. His work is impeccable, replete with remarkable lines that ebb and flow with the grace and spontaneity that only comes with the greatest levels of Mastery. With workshops at large events around the country in his resume, he now brings his teaching skills to La Domaine for the third time, for a uniquely intimate and special bondage workshop.

In addition to his bondage skills, David is a Master of the photographic arts as well. Many of you have purchased, either through us or the publisher, (Jurgen Boedt of SECRET Magazine) the stunningly beautiful book, BOUND. Feel free to bring your personal copy of BOUND with you. David will be happy to sign it.

This workshop will be very limited in size. No more than eight couples will be accepted. Our own La Domaine bondage fiends will be there too, standing by to help novices take their first few standing ends in hand. So don't be worried that this workshop may be too advanced for you! We promise all participants will have a solid learning experience.

The workshop will begin at 2 pm and be approximately three hours in length. The cost will be $75 a person or $125 for a couple. Instead of BYOB, it will be BYOR, and there will also be plenty of 'R' available here for you to use. At some point in the afternoon, there will be a short refreshment break, all organic and natural…just like hemp. Reservations are being accepted as of today’s mailing. We expect the attendance list to fill up very quickly, and therefore seriously advise you to make your reservation ASAP for this very special workshop.

Please call us at at the phone number and within the hours listed here for reservations. Unlike some of our workshops, you do not need to have visited La Domaine previously to attend. If we are familiar with your bondage skill level, there is no need to call us, an email will get you on the reservations list.
